This book is comprised of many articles discussing healthcare policy issues. I would have liked to seen some discussing questions afterward as a means of critically thinking but I guess that is what professors are for. Other than that, the text brings up good topics regarding the state of our healthcare system.

I read this book even though I a not yet in an NP or PA program, to get a jump on things. The book was shockingly vacuous. The chapters are a collection of essays from various sources. Some of the chapters are almost passable, others are downright unprofessional.

Required reading for a required course. Failed to capture my interest in any of the chapters. But then, so did the subject matter!
